Google Reader’s “Send to” Feature (also for self-hosted WordPress blogs and for Posterous!)

Google Reader’s “Send to” Feature.

And for everybody “fighting” with making Send to link for WordPress in Google Reader, here are some simple instructions ;) :

You open the settings in Google Reader and go Send to tab.

Create the custom link there as follows:

Name: Add to Any

URL: http://addtoany.com/wp-admin/press-this.php?u=${url}&t=${title}

Icon URL: http://addtoany.com/favicon.ico

Big thank you to Avi Joseph (@Avinio) for help with this one and to Stefan (@svartling) for inspiration.

Enjoy! :D

EDIT:

For Posterous users

URL: http://posterous.com/share?linkto=${url}

- and the favicon uri is:

Icon URL: http://posterous.com/images/favicon.png

(it works – I checked! ;-) Enjoy!

Lars Clausen liked this
“Plywood, a moisture-proof, marine-grade, very low formaldehyde-content pine, certified by the European sustainable forest practices agreement, becomes a strong, almost abnormal complement to what would normally be simply a white, industrial space. It?s hard to see but the plywood kitchen islands are mostly on locking wheels, which creates a flexible space that can mutate from a small cooking area to a larger gathering area. Combined with the other moveable furniture, plywood has stopped looking cheap, and starts looking high-end (or high-grade, maybe?) whether it just sits pretty or on wheels.” – You
